“Ramp to Heaven”
The design intention was to create a feeling of proximity to cultural belief \ spiritual hope as you gradually see the ascending exterior elevation and the inside space that progressively gets higher as you go inside. The inspiration came from the spiritual aspect of the prayer space, how to reflect the spiritual essence of worshipping through:
- Water, symbol of life and purity
The objective is to use water as the main elements required for the first spiritual transitional phase, symbolized in ablution, was being highlighted in the design.
Symbol of Energy and hope. It Connects Inner-space with outer surroundings and goes beyond the physical boundary of prayer space. Light has the same ability of a believer’s soul, enlightening others.
- Design Composition
Throughout the entrance approach, ascending steps to the podium and walking around the water that will lead you to the prayer hall. The continuity of space is always demonstrated along with water and light.
